one friday night…
last night, i decided to visit the Eurostar carnival at the fort. figured that, since i just got paid by the (*ahem*) company i work for, i might as well have a night of fun. got to the carnival at around 930ish and was surprised to find that, instead of having to pay P550 to ride 4 of the rides, i only had to pay P300 - for a ride-all-you-can pass! SWEET! ^_^ naturally, my initial plan of only staying till after i finished my four rides was thrown out the window - i now resolved to either ride everything till the carnival closes, or until i throw up.
first ride was dedicated to the Booster. was not able to have the seat all to my little self, but it was okay. the guy next to me sat "quiet" (meaning the guy didn’t talk to me at all. he only screamed, and screamed, and screamed… yeowch!). laughed my ass off after that ride - never felt as free as i did then… until i rode the Joker once again.
THE BEST! it really felt like flying… (or falling, depends on what you prefer and in what direction you’re going) again, i hardly screamed - i just laughed all throughout the ride. hehe, the guy who was seated next to me thanked me afterwards for making the ride seem less scary. he said that because i just kept on laughing, instead of screaming, he started laughing as well… hmm… contagious laughter? that’s a nice concept.
had one helluva time with the Flipper. SOLID LAUGH TRIP yung first ride ko dun for the night. i thought for sure that would be the first time i would ride the blasted thing without someone sitting next to me, but noooooo… some teen/twenty-aged foreigner sporting a bright red (yes, you read it right - BRIGHT RED) mohawk (no illusions here either folks. mohawk…) sat next to me. kind of cute, too. =p but anyway, the ride started and we started spinning and people started either laughing, screaming, shouting, or gritting their teeth together. of course, i was having my usual reaction to intense rides (laughing like hell) when i started focusing on one particularly annoying sound: it was the sound of someone screaming in a high-pitched voice (as i described it to joey, she put it down as "tipong babaeng tumitili dahil nakita niya crush niya"… which described it perfectly.) the sound bothered me so much that i found myself glancing around to find out who it was coming from. i looked at the ladies, overlooked most of the men, then turned to my seatmate. yeesh… galing pala sa mohawk boy yung tunog. shyet.0_o i ended the ride stumbling to keep steady because i had hit my head several times against the bars and because my sides hurt from laughing too much. *shrug* it wasn’t really funny that such a man was producing a high-pitched sound, but add what little laugh value that had to the fact that i was having the time of my life… *smile*
still feeling a bit unsteady, i decided to wander around to check out the game and food booths they had scattered around. i stopped at one that had cut-outs of tigers with holes in their mouths. the object of the game was to get at least 2 "food pellets" into the tiger’s mouth so you can win a prize. you get 4 tries, and just one practice shot.
i tried it out but found out that i sucked at it, so i moved on to the next booth. hehe, all i had to do was spin the huge wheel and let my luck do the trick. the first time around, my luck almost kicked in, but the needle didn’t go where i wanted it to go. had another go at it and voila! now i had a baby Taz doll to keep me company. *cuuuuuuuute!* ^_____^
too bad i had to surrender my stuff to the people guarding every ride, so taz was never able to ride any of them except the ferris wheel. (hehe, i’ll upload the pictures once i find the time to do so…) kakagigil si taz!!! aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!! >=D
bad thing though was that because i was all alone (or so they thought…. they overlooked my buddy, taz), the guys manning the ferris wheel spun my seat around real fast. yeah sure, i was first pleasantly surprised by what they did, but i didn’t really expect them to do it again. by the time i was to pass them a third time, i was shaking my head at them and holding out both my hands (obvious naman siguro na dein ko gusto yung ginawa nila diba?). buti na lang they let me go by without spinning me around again.
after that, i made the mistake of riding the Flipper twice. @___@ sobrang hilo ako by the end of round two that i actually had to sit down for a bit before i could see straight. i felt tired by this time that i knew that my night at the carnival had finally come to an end.
who knew that a mild ride such as the ferris wheel would be my downfall? *siiiiiiiiiigh*
tried to sleep for an hour or two, but found out that my vision would waver whenever i opened my eyes to the bright light that was shining above me (am i dead…?), so i got up and went around the floor visiting the people.
then work interrupted.
